This book is simple narration of events and personalities from the extensive experience of the writer, Ali Muhsin Al Barwani. He was born in the tiny islands of Zanzibar more than seventy years ago, the son of  Muslim scholar of repute. He was destined to lead a liberation movement which freed  his country from seventy years of colonial rule.Within a month of his achieving his life’s desire he saw Zanzibar turned upside down and become an appendage of another.
