Who We Are

Soma Book Café is a feminist literary hub dedicated to transforming lives through storytelling. Since 2012, we’ve been a sanctuary for women, youth, and communities in Dar es Salaam, creating spaces—both physical and digital—where diverse voices can share, reflect, and inspire change. Our mission is to challenge gender norms, preserve herstories, and foster dialogue that drives social justice.
